- Montezuma Oropendola (Psarocolias montezuma) vocal, gregarious; males about 30% larger than females; usually only one male with several subordinate females at the banana feeders; female pecking order well established, each taking turns picking pieces from bunches of bananas; generally agile and acrobatic at the feeders; birds apparently flying in each day from distant overnight roosts northwest of Laguna del Lagarto lodge; D, B; LDL; CL, CN.
